My husband Tosh is the absolute best man I have ever met. He is kind, patient and supportive. He is an incredible dad to our three boys and we are all SO lucky to have him. We were married on 11-11-2011 surrounded by our family and closest friends.
Tanner is laid back, pensive, witty, and can have a crazy, silly side at times. He loves to play video games. He is a great big brother. He has moments when his (middle) little brother gets on his nerves, but what older bro doesn't?!
Mason is my free-spirited, independent, strong-willed child. He is full of energy and is awesome at "imaginating." He is definitely an athlete and super competitive. He loves to play baseball. He has the best smile and laugh, and he knows the exact moment when I need one of his hugs. I hope his heart is always filled with so much love for his family. He is definitely Mama's Boy!
Dawson is our newest addition and completed our little family when he arrived on September 8, 2015. You can read his birth story here. It is definitely a new experience having a little one again since our other boys are older. Dawson is such a cute, cuddly, sweet, and smiley boy. I can't wait to watch his personality develop as he grows. We are so blessed!
As you will read in several of my posts, Mason was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies when he was 6 months old. He outgrew his egg allergy, so we are currently only dealing with an allergy to cow's milk. The past several years have been an incredible learning experience in my life, that's for sure. Education is the key to understanding food allergies and leads to a greater compassion for people who are "different" than us. It is my passion to share that education, help others develop a better understanding of food allergy, and make my little boy's life just that much safer in the process.
All of the recipes here are dairy-free, of course. A few years ago, I eliminated gluten from my own diet due to Hashimoto's thyroid condition. I personally have found relief from hypothyroid symptoms by changing my diet and so all of my newer recipes are gluten-free as well. There may be a few older ones that were originally made containing gluten, but my plan is to eventually get around to modifying those as well. I also have several nieces and nephews with multiple food allergies, and because of that, I like to exclude other major allergens from my recipes on occasion. If you don't see something you are looking for here, just ask!
