Sparkling Pear Sangria

This pretty, festive drink is one we enjoyed as part of our Thanksgiving meal, and I fully intend to make it again for Christmas (and possibly even New Year's Eve). It is bright, crisp and delicious. Not to mention a beautiful addition to a holiday meal!





I used sparkling pear cider, but you could absolutely use sparkling apple cider if you have trouble finding pear.  Freeze the cranberries and put them in shortly before serving. They'll keep the drink cool without watering it down. Cheers!

Sparkling Pear Sangria

  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, zested and thinly sliced
  • 4 cups white wine (I used chardonnay)
  • 1 bottle sparkling cider
  • 1/2 cup cranberries, frozen

Place the pear slices, orange slices, and orange zest in the bottom of a glass pitcher. Add the white wine, then top off with sparkling cider. Before serving, add the frozen cranberries.
